Eastridge offers the nationally recognized program, Music and Memory, to all residents. Music and Memory is a personalized music system that uses custom playlists to enhance residents’ quality of life, and improve their memory and well-being. When residents listen to music, it’s not uncommon for them to suddenly start dancing or humming along as the melody takes them on a blast to the past.
Eastridge residents enjoy music playlists created from their personal tastes and interests, in addition to recommendations from family, friends, and our staff. Aside from songs, playlists can include audio books, radio shows, pod casts, faith-based teachings, and even personal messages from family members. The playlists are downloaded to iPods so residents can listen to and connect with the music they love whenever they please.
